Disclaimer

The Hello Doctor advice service is free to clients. There is an additional paid for service that offers more than just free advice over the phone, where the doctors can diagnose and treat certain conditions and electronically prescribe certain schedule medications. This is deemed a virtual telehealth consultation and charged at R284 per consultation and payable by the client using available medical scheme benefits or HealthSaver funds, credit or debit card.

Hello Doctor offers you

Doctor access: Speak to a doctor over the phone, or chat via text message. All consultations with the doctor are completely private and confidential.

Health education: The Hello Doctor newsletter is packed full of health tips and coaching, including the latest trends and advice.

Medication: Our doctors can phone you back and prescribe medicine for your condition, if applicable. The doctor will SMS the list of suggested medication to you, and can email the details to the pharmacy as well. Prescribed medication can be paid from HealthSaver funds, if available.

Hello Doctor doesn't charge you any service fees. All you need is data or a Wi-Fi connection to use the app. We'll even call you, so you don't have to use your airtime.
